Awesome Festivals in Santa Barbara

1. I Madonari Festival

i madonnari festival

When: Every year during Memorial Day weekend
Location: In front of Santa Barbara Mission, on 2201 Laguna Street

Every year during the Memorial Day weekend, the pavement in front of Old Mission Santa Barbara will be transformed in 200 colorful paintings done by chalk by local artists. The couples of times we’ve been there, each painting had turned out to be fantastic.

Seeing one beautiful painting after another could be overwhelming. Especially when you consider that being made out of chalk, they’ll be gone within a week or so.

Come by to watch these artists at work and enjoy the live music, the concerts, and the beautiful Santa Barbara Mission.
